Lakes Area Mayor’s Prayer Breakfast

August 14 @ 7:00 am - 9:00 am

The purpose of the Lakes Area Mayors Prayer Breakfast is to unite our region by supporting civic leaders with positive encouragement and prayer. Organized by the Mayors Prayer Breakfast Committee in partnership with the local Christian Business Men’s Connection (CBMC), the breakfast is a non-profit event modeled after successful community gatherings all over America.

Join us for breakfast with our featured speaker Tim Philpot. As a retired Judge, Senator, Golf Coach, Author, Preacher, and Speaker, Tim will share the valuable lessons and wisdom gained through his incredible adventures and the people he’s been fortunate to meet.

Tim Philpot retired in 2018 after fifteen years as a Family Court Judge in Lexington, Kentucky and was a trial lawyer for more than 26 years, concentrating on employment law, family law and civil rights cases. He also served in the Kentucky State Senate from 1990-1998.

From 1996 to 2003, Tim was President of CBMC International, a worldwide ministry presenting Christ to business and professional people. He has spoken in 67 nations to Parliament groups, legal groups and business groups. He continues his international work mostly as Chairman of Fishhook International, a mission to India.

Tim has authored three books. “Player’s Progress” a novel on a golfer’s search for wisdom on a dream course in northern Scotland. “Ford’s Wonderful World of Golf” is a memoir to his father published in 2013. “Judge Z: Irretrievably Broken” is a novel published in 2016 about family court and the death of marriage in America.

Tim also served for twelve years as a volunteer assistant coach and chaplain for the University of Kentucky men’s golf team, where he played and graduated in 1974. Tim won several local and state golf tournaments as an amateur golfer and participated in the British Amateur in 1983.
