Governor Tim Walz has officially announced that the 77th Minnesota Governor’s Fishing Opener will be hosted by Explore Minnesota and Minnesota Department of Natural Resources in Crosslake on May 9-10, 2025, an event that will draw attention to the beauty and charm of our community. While this event is not something the Crosslake Chamber initiated, it presents a unique opportunity to shine a spotlight on our community and, most importantly, our member businesses.
